Grind Week is a powerful student ministry event designed to help 6th–12th graders kick off the school year with purpose and passion.
Youth groups from across Union, Anson, and Stanly counties will come together for an unforgettable time of gospel-centered preaching, Christ-exalting worship, and authentic fellowship.
This year’s theme is Exchange — challenging students to start the school year by laying down their lives for Christ and embracing His call to follow Him fully.

Guest Speakers
Nate Garrett
Nate has been in youth ministry for over 24 years.
Nate graduated from Liberty University, where he met the love of his life. Nate and his wife Debbie have been married for over 24 years. They live in North Carolina with their three children, Luke, Leia, and Ezra (yes, like the Star Wars characters).
When he is not speaking as an evangelist, he is a Campus Pastor at Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy and the youth pastor at Peninsula Baptist Church in NC.
Nate's desire is to pour into students and/or adults in a way that challenges them to go further and reinforces timeless truth.
Quinn Medlin
Quinn Medlin is the Student Discipleship Strategist for the Union Baptist Association (UBA) and Student Director at Provision Church. He has served in various ministry roles over the last 6 years. Church planting has been a big part of his church experience and has helped plant 3 different churches since college.
Before answering the call to ministry, he graduated from UNCC with a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology and worked with robots for 2 years.
He has been married to his wife for 8 years, and in his free time, he enjoys any sport, but especially disc golf.
Neal Huntley
Neal Huntley serves as Associate Pastor and Youth Pastor at Midway Baptist Church in Wingate, NC, and as Director of Student Faith at NorthPoint Christian Academy in Waxhaw, NC. Neal answered the call to ministry during his time on staff at Fort Caswell, and has a faithful desire to teach others how to be doers of the Word, like it says in James 1. Neal and his wife, Amber, have been married for 8 years, and they have been blessed with two children, Graham and Caroline.
